Heather Spilkin is a Brooklyn-based filmmaker, writer, director, and editor. Her most recent film is the award-winning commercial parody Just End It!, a dark comedy about a cleaning product formulated specifically for disgruntled housewives. She also produced and directed Above Brooklyn, a feature documentary about Brooklyn’s rooftop pigeon breeders. Above Brooklyn screened at Rooftop Films and Anthology Film Archives, and has been featured in the L Magazine Film Blog and The Artswire.
Heather's TV editing credits include programming for ABC, Food Network, History, Lifetime, Travel, and A&E. She’s currently editing Food Network’s highly rated comedy cooking series Worst Cooks in America, where she also writes and develops jokes for comedic cooking segments.
Heather’s comedy writing projects include sketches and shorts, as well as the feature film Lifethrive, about a struggling documentary filmmaker who teams up with a wannabe life coach/juice salesman. Heather is currently in pre-production for her new comedy web series about extreme decluttering.
